About
Golnessa Farmanara is a Los Angeles–based Fashion Director and designer known for her refined aesthetic, innovative fabric sensibility, and ability to merge luxury craftsmanship with modern functional design. Raised in a creative family deeply rooted in architecture, music, art, and film, she developed a natural affinity for shape, texture, and expressive storytelling through clothing.
She trained in couture at POLIMODA in Florence, earning an Advanced Master’s Degree in Fashion Design, and later sharpened her design instincts on Bravo’s “The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection” hosted by Iman and Isaac Mizrahi. Her early work in both atelier and editorial environments strengthened her precision, speed, and creative range.
Golnessa co-founded Goci Apparel, a luxury RTW, evening, and bridal brand celebrated for its bold, feminine silhouettes and couture-inspired details. Her career has since expanded into contemporary and activewear, where she continues to bridge artistry with modernity.
She currently serves as Design Director at Beyond Yoga, leading the Lifestyle and active category and overseeing the full design lifecycle—from concept and trend direction to fit, fabric innovation, and production. Her work focuses on creating elevated essentials rooted in comfort, body awareness, and thoughtful storytelling, while guiding multi-level design teams and shaping the brand’s creative evolution.
Her aesthetic remains timeless, feminine, bold, and deeply connected to craft—a signature that informs every collection she touches.
